Prepare for visit

Your first visit may last 2 to 4 hours, depending on the need for special testing and treatment. We suggest that someone drive you to and from our office since both of your eyes will be dilated for your examination. If treatment of one of your eyes is required, that eye may be patched overnight.

A retinal exam includes a thorough, complete evaluation of your eye by your physician including the retina, optic nerve and retinal blood vessels.

During your visit, highly qualified personnel will perform the following tests under the direction of your physician: 

  1. Visual Acuity

  2. Ocular Motility

  3. Pupillary Exam

  4. Visual Field Testing 

  5. Eye Pressure 

  6. Optical Coherence Tomography Scan 

  7. Fluorescein Angiography
